Overview of King of Glory:
The game primarily consists of players selecting hero characters to engage in various PVP battles such as 1v1, 3v3, 5v5, and more. Additionally, players can participate in adventure mode and engage in PVE breakthrough modes. Once a certain level is reached, players can also participate in ranked matches. This is a MOBA game.
Rules of King of Glory:
A hero is controlled by ten players, divided into two teams (red or blue). The two teams launch attacks from opposite ends of a symmetrical map, with victory conditions being to “destroy the enemy crystal” or “enemy surrender.” To destroy the enemy crystal, the team must destroy defense towers on the way, typically located on three major pathways leading to the enemy crystal base tower. When a player approaches a defense tower alone, they will endure high-intensity attacks from the tower, with the attacks gradually increasing in strength. Additionally, both teams periodically send troops to these three pathways. When troops enter the attack range of a defense tower, the tower prioritizes attacking the troops. However, when a player-controlled hero attacks an enemy hero within the defense tower’s range, the tower will abandon attacking the troops and instead focus on the hero who last attacked the enemy hero. Each player increases their hero’s level and earns income by killing enemy troops, enemy heroes, or neutral monsters in the wild. Killing enemies also allows the player’s hero to earn coins in the game, used to purchase equipment to enhance the hero’s abilities.
Features of King of Glory:
The game features six types of heroes for players to choose from: Tank (defense), Soldier (melee), Assassin (dashing), Mage (spell damage), Marksman (ranged physical damage), and Support (buffs). Most heroes in the game are named after historical or mythological figures, with a few based on legendary creatures, other game characters, films, and literary works. Each hero also has different skins, each with different buffs and feel (if a hero has more than one type, such as Luna, the first type is primary).

King Pro League (KPL) is the highest-level professional tournament officially held for King of Glory since 2016. It consists of two seasons each year, Spring and Autumn, with regular season and playoffs in each season. Additionally, there is the Korean version called KRKPL (King Pro League) held in Korea, yet it has been replaced by KPLGT in 2020. Originally, KPLGT was formed by the original 9 clubs from the KPL region, 5 independent clubs from the KPL region, and the champion of the China National Finals in the 2020 Autumn season, while KPLGT reserved a development alliance.
